Many users want to secretly screen record phones that they want to target, whether it’s the device of a child they want to protect or an employee that works for them. To secretly screen record you need tracking apps, but before that, you need to understand what a screenshot is and what its significance is. And most importantly you need to know how to take a screenshot from your own device.
Often, mobile device users need to take a screenshot of a particular image. Manufacturers of phones running Android and iOS are well aware of the demand for this function, and therefore provide it by default, and third-party developers offer a number of additional features. Everyone decides which options to use, but today we will briefly consider them all.
How to take a screenshot depends on the features of a particular mobile device and its operating system. Therefore, on Android, in addition to almost universal functionality for almost all smartphones, there are also those that are placed directly by the manufacturer or third-party developers. If we talk about the iPhone, the difference is between the generation of the Apple device and the presence or absence of the hardware home button on it. In addition, there are alternative solutions. More – In a little more detail about the nuances of making a screenshot.
Android
Regardless of which version of the operating system your Android phone is running, at least one option for screenshots is initially available on it. The essence of this is using two (and sometimes three, for example, older Samsung smartphones and some Lenovo devices) hardware (physical) buttons. In addition, two more options are mostly available, which are literally implemented on the device screen and with the swipes and taps by selecting the appropriate option by pressing a button.
So, to grab a screenshot on an Android cell phone, use one of the following strategies.
At the same time press the hardware buttons “power” (power on / off / reboot) and volume down buttons;
Skip screens, if necessary, scroll through the list of elements presented in it, find the button and click “Screenshot”.
Hold down the button until the menu appears Select this tool, and then select “Screenshot”.
As mentioned at the outset of this article, there are many alternative solutions besides standard methods of screenshot implementation at the operating system level. Therefore, in the vastness of the Google Play Store, there are many applications from third-party developers, which often provide more opportunities and functions (for example, editing received images and sending/copying them instantly). This is all written in a separate article on our website.
iPhone or iPad
To take a screenshot on your iPhone or iPad, simultaneously press the Sleep/Wake and Volume Up keys. Press the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time on older smartphones with a Home button.
You’ll hear a capture sound and get a screenshot preview in the bottom left corner of the screen, which you can press to modify or share.
Screenshots only record the visible section of the screen; however, by pressing on the screenshot preview and choosing Full Page at the upper right, you may capture the whole document or webpage.
Apple Watch
In order to take screenshots on your Apple Watch, you first need to enable the feature Open the Watch app on your iPhone, a guide to My Watch > General > Enable Screenshots and toggle it on, or open Settings > General and tap Enable Screenshots on your watch.
Pull up the screen you wish to capture on an Apple Watch to take a screenshot. Simultaneously hold the Side button and click the Digital Crown. The screen will “flash” white and the camera shutter will go off, much as on an iPhone. The screenshot will be saved to your iPhone’s camera roll rather than the watch.
Windows PC
Press the Print Screen keyboard key on a Windows laptop or desktop computer to take a screenshot (usually abbreviated to Prt Scn or similar). Press the Alt and Print Screen keys simultaneously to take a screenshot of the active window only. Your screenshot is instantly transferred to the clipboard, and you must paste it into Microsoft Paint, Photoshop, or whatever image software you use to modify and save it.
Try pressing the Windows, Shift, and S keys together in Windows 10 to capture a section of the screen. Then click and drag to highlight the area you wish to capture, then let go to capture it. The Snipping Tool, which can be discovered by clicking Start and putting “Snipping Tool” in the search box on older versions of Windows, can perform the same thing. The snapshot gets transferred to your clipboard once again for you to paste.
Mac
Mac users now have more control over screenshots thanks to the introduction of macOS Mojave. The screenshot tool was included in the update, and it can be accessed by hitting Command + Shift + 5 or by going to Launchpad > Other > Screenshot. You may use the screen-capture window to do various tasks and save photographs to your desktop. Choose to capture the full screen, a single window, or a portion of the screen.
